Development Release: Nexenta Core Platform 3.0 Beta 3 |

Anil Gulecha has announced the availability of the third beta release of Nexenta Core Platform 3.0, an OpenSolaris-based distribution for servers: "On behalf of the Nexenta project, I'd like to announce the availability of the Nexenta Core Platform (NCP) 3.0 Beta 3, the final beta release in the NCP3 cycle. The main changes over the beta 2 release include dozens of ON fixes backported to b134. This is a beta release, and a (slow) moving target until we reach the final release. It is in a good shape for developers to tinker with and we welcome your efforts to improve NCP3. Please file bug reports/RFEs here. Features: based on OpenSolaris build 134; first release with ZFS deduplication support; Crossbow support; over 13,000 packages in the repository; based on Ubuntu 8.04 LTS repository...."
